Random Sights

As we drive around on the FOB, there are sights everywhere reminding us what used to be here. This is just one of many mosques that are scattered around.

This is a picture of our home; a CHU, Containerized Housing Unit. It might be hard to see because of the 12' concrete walls surrounding all of the trailers.

Another shot.

In this environment, we all have to drink water, so there is a reverse osmosis plant here on the FOB. They create the clean water, bottle it, pallet it and send the pallets al over Iraq. There are 720 bottles on each pallet. The pallets are endless.

The other half of the bottle field.

And a close up view of the pallet and these are placed everywhere.

  1. still very amazing to see pictures always on TV, and then not only see them here, taken by you, but realize you are there. like the berlin wall. you see pics in books, yet we were there. as is the case now, you are part of history. so, your home the one on the left, 5 row in? the tan and olive one? :) really appreciate the effort you go to in such detail. its a twist of excitement, caution and intense interest in your daily life. cant wait for next post. so, your team, what ranks are they? Big D
